    Adding spot free

Ideally you shouldn't, but if the pump's maintenance isn't kept up, the spot free can back up through the valves and seals, it can damage the low pressure seals, and it can back up into the holding tank. Most washes have check valves in place to prevent backflow, but there are some that don't...

    Help with identifying Vacuum Door

The difference between them is a width of 1". There are long drop and short drop in both 2" and 3".

I have these on my D&S pump stand. Can someone tell me what they are called?

That's an eductor. It's the least likely thing to go wrong. There's no soap in the hose attached to it, so it could be the foot valve (That's the part that prevents backflow to the chemical concentrate), or the Hydrominder could have weak flow and it isn't drawing soap.

Did you intend to post a picture of these things?

    Help with identifying Vacuum Door

That is a coin mech acceptor, it's a 3" instead of the common 2". Whether he finds a new replacement door or makes or has made something, it would make sense to go with the more common acceptor.

    Credit card surcharging

I'd also like some more data about this if it's out there. I would assume this method with a pre-purchased time chunk is compared against count-down where the customer still has to add time via CC just like keeping the timer running with quarters.

    Help with identifying Vacuum Door

Hard to tell without seeing the whole vacuum, but it looks like a Doyle with a 3" coin mech. You won't find a new one, but it's just a piece of stainless steel with a double-D knockout for a lock and holes/slots for a coin acceptor. I wish I had a water jet or laser cutter, I could knock out...

New buyer - 6 self serve bays and one IBA

The D&S 5000 is a good machine, and you shouldn't have trouble finding parts for it. You should be able to coax a few more years out of it until your cash flow can pay for a more modern machine.

Cat 310 not making full pressure

Are you sure it's the regulator? The only time I've had them fail it would send water through full pressure. I've never had one not flow. Maybe it's your solenoid.

Don't do that without a way to protect yourself. Most of these people are mentally unbalanced and completely unreasonable.

    Vacuum dirt keeps getting robbed

I went through 2000 zip ties in a year trying not to lock the doors. Homeless would go through them multiple times throughout the day, and of course would rarely ever latch the doors. One day I watched on video three different people within five minutes go through the vac trash. I was making...

    new 5cp2140 cat pump noisy

It may be starved for water which might explain why the last one was eating up seals.

    any recommendations for a unloader?

You don't need an unloader unless you're using shutoff guns. With a weep gun you want a balanced pressure regulator. Try the SMC 555 series 2000-2000 PSI range.

    Vacuum dirt keeps getting robbed

I locked mine up tight and it stopped them. You're probably going to have to catch this one guy and have him trespassed. They've decriminalized everything here, it's a misdemeanor (criminal mischief) even breaking into the coin boxes. Ten years ago it was a felony if they got so much money or...

Cat 310 not making full pressure

You should be able to replace the seals, valve o-rings, and oil seals for less than $150. If the pump got hot enough it may have melted the valve cages, but that's another $20 or so. No reason to replace major components.

    Bill sorter/counter

Ribao does seem to have good customer support, and I could buy two of their sorters for the cost of a Cummins sorter and still save $500. The serial number thing seems more like a party trick than anything I need unless I can connect it to a computer and automatically scan for bills worth more...

    Carolina Pride closed

True for the most part, although I've seen more than a few cases where it's just more efficient to remove and replace everything. FWIW there's someone here seems like once a month asking about new SS equipment. Why shouldn't I take their money, especially when I know I can deliver them...
