Turning off a Coleman shampoo vac freeze protection

That setting is in the timer. You set the # of blow out cycles and how long they run. I don't think you can adjust the temp they occur, but it seems you have a thermostat issue. If you don't need it, just turn them off in the timer.

Need advice on out of town equipment purchase to be shipped

I don't mind paying PayPal or escrow fees for peace of mind. He said that he buys these on consignment and needs to pay off the person he is selling them for before shipping them out. With Paypal, if the money is sent using a bank account, I don't see what they can really do once he has...

Need advice on out of town equipment purchase to be shipped

If I use paypal, I would have to use a credit card for actual protection, correct? If I use instant transfer, I don't see how PayPal could really protect me. Or is there something they could do?

Need advice on out of town equipment purchase to be shipped

I am interested in buying some equipment from someone that is in a different state. It is too far of a drive, so it will have to be shipped. It is for around 12k, and the only payment he will accept is to prepay with a wire transfer. I have had bad experiences with other purchases sending...

    Help troubleshooting Frag/Vac

It is the air hose for sure as no air is coming out of the head, but it's going to be -1 or worse tonight so I figured I'd just mess with it after it warms up in case it freezes again. Is there a good screen you recommend that would fit on those tine pickup lines? I think they are 3/16" lines.

Thanks Earl. I'll give that a shot once it warms up.

    Disgusting fees for vending machine

I'm not sure, but check out their website http://nayax.com/en/ or call them and I'm sure they can fill you in. I have 3 of the readers and everyone there that I have spoken to has been really friendly.

    Help troubleshooting Frag/Vac

I have a JC frag/vac and the Fragrance isn't working. When Fragrance is selected, it seems that air can't make it from the compressor to the outlet of the gun, so something has to be wrong with that line, but I'm not sure what. Air is coming out of the compressor and I tired taking a line from...

    Disgusting fees for vending machine

I use the Nayax cc reader on my Shurvend and the fees are 5.95%, and they give you the chance to charge a fee, so I charge 6% cc fee for all cc purchases. Makes the cc same as cash. You should look into switching.

    CryptoPay on 1034R timers

Not in my bays, but I do have Cryptopay swipers on my vacs with 1034 R timers and they work fine. Only thing I don't like about them in the bays is that you have to use the count down mode and can't use count up which I think is 1000 times better and produces more revenue.

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

mjwalsh, I appreciate your response, but unfortunately that can't be the reason as I've had tape on it for almost a month and it didn't make it work before this five day stretch. I've also replaced the bill acceptor twice and it has the same issue, so it can't be the bill acceptor. I did call...

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

I just wanted to update on the bill acceptor issue I've had. After the last time I posted, I went out and checked it as I had been doing that daily, and it worked! I left tape over the entrance of the acceptor just in case, and then checked it again the next day. It still worked, so I removed...

    Parts Ordering

Just call 800-999-9878 and ask for parts. I order parts all the time and they ship them out same day. Not sure what number you are calling.

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

Lol, that's the problem. I wish there were more logical things for me to check. I don't mind replacing/trying anything if it would actually work. What makes it even harder to troubleshoot is that it always works fine after a reset of the breaker, so I have to come back after an hour or so to...

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

I did check the voltage and it was 124 volts coming in and 27 volts coming out. I checked several vacs and they are all the same. I did swap a timer with another vac last week and it didn't make a difference.

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

I have Sensotron acceptors in the two that are acting up and also in most of the other vacs. I do have MicroCoin in a couple of them. Honestly none of it makes sense as to why it just quits.

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

Just to update, I wired it the way you suggested and it didn't work at all. Just took the money and didn't start the vac. So I wired it back like I had it and it works, but of course of only an hour.

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

So I have the black and white wires wired up like you wrote, but the others are different. Are you saying to connect the brown wire from the validator harness to the white/common wire of the vac, then hook up the orange wire to the coin pulse which is the orange/black stripe + red/green stripe?

Trouble with bill acceptor in vac

They are retrofit, but should be the same as if from the factory. They are Mars 2412 validators, timers are 1034R. I was told how to wire them from Jim Coleman. Wiring is: black/orange to black white to white brown to orange/black stripe + red/green stripe I installed them on 9 vacs. All...
