    Help with floor heat

This morning the floor heat was still on and working, but still short cycling. That is with the dial on 6 and the auto limit on 120, manual 150. I changed the auto limit to 155 and the manual to 165. I would have set the manual higher, but it seemed to have a stopper that prevented it from...

    Help with floor heat

I.B., I do weep hot water at my other wash that doesn't have trough heat and it works good. This one had the floor heat already plumbed with a line in the trough and that has really helped, so no reason to weep hot water there yet. cantbreak, with the way it is currently operating, is it...

    Help with floor heat

First off, thank you very much for your responses. They are very helpful. I checked the flow switch and it is installed and working properly. It actually has a test switch on the side and when activated, it shuts off the flow and the boiler, so I know it works. The bypass valve is not fully...

    Help with floor heat

I made the changes you suggested and turned the know on the gas valve up to six. So far it is not tripping the limit, but the flame is turning on and off very often. Is that normal and ok? I noticed the temp goes up to about 34 degrees and then the flame turns off. And then after about a...

    Help with floor heat

It is a Raypak boiler. I had no idea what those do, so I was afraid to mess with them. I appreciate your input and will try those tonight. Hopefully it is still on tomorrow. It's going to be -15 here on Thursday, so I really need the loop in my trough to stay on. Thanks!

    Help with floor heat

My floor heater keeps tripping the limit switch on the thermostat if I turn it up at all, and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions of what to look for. I am not very familiar with it but know the first year I owned the wash, it operated flawlessly and all heated areas were snow/ice free...

o.o.o. to disable credit card acceptance on shurvend

I up charge 6% on my vending cc reader to make up for the 5.95% fees, so I don't lose anything. I have a Nayax reader that came with my shurvend, but you can buy directly from them. Can't you do the same with yours?

    My first damage incident

No way it is your fault. It is like hitting a parked car, it is her fault. She needs to pay you.

    How to add wax/sealant

Just another setup just like your pre-soak will work. That is what I have. 3 tanks side by side, one for wax, one pre-soak and another for foam brush.

Opinions on rocker panel blaster on Touch-Free Auto

A couple of years ago when I first took over one wash I capped off the 4 nozzles on each side of the rocker panel blasters. These are for a Ryko OHD2001. The theory was that if the pre-soak hit the car while it was dry instead of half way up it being already wet, that the pre-soak would do a...

    Invoicing Software

I am currently using QB 2014, but used QB 2010 for a while and it had the same exact invoicing functions. I just had to upgrade because the bank downloads wouldn't reconcile with the old version anymore.

    Invoicing Software

You can send them out any way you like, I just email the accounts I have since it is easier and they accept invoices via email. You would just have to print it out and mail it.

    Invoicing Software

I use quick books for invoicing, works great and no monthly fee or anything. Keeps track of invoices and payments by customer. I just generate invoices and email them out straight from Quickbooks.

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

I googled and couldn't find any information on Blue Coral other than the in store products they sell. Is there a site specific for commercial car wash chemicals?

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

Where do you get your Rain X from? I am thinking about switching my wax over to that. Maybe some name recognition with help.

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

Thanks for explaining everything so vividly, I can see it in my head now:) I already have extra wires running to each meter box, so if I add tri-foam I will likely just go to a 10 position switch. One thing I am curious about has been the tire shine. Not sure how well it does and if is...

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

Hmmm. Very interesting. If you could provide a couple of pictures whenever you have time, it would be appreciated. Do you have air going to your pre-soak as well? Thanks.

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

At my site, pre-soak and tire cleaner are the same. I thought about getting rid of tire cleaner to add tri-foam, but I see a lot of people using the tire cleaner. They have no idea that it is only pre-soak, and not a single complaint. I am still torn between upping to a 10 position switch or...

Need advice on out of town equipment purchase to be shipped

Someone suggested to use escrow.com I have never used them before, but seems like a good solution. Would save a trip down there, and if the equipment is as it should be, then the money is released. If not, I should be protected. Anyone used them before?

Need advice on out of town equipment purchase to be shipped

I actually considered that, and am still considering it. I'll discuss it and see how it goes. Thanks.
