    Handy Tool For Carwash

When's the last time you used an extension cord? :D I had a WalMart rechargeable "trouble light" that was pretty good, but I left it sitting on a vac island and they don't make it anymore, so I got a couple of these: WalMart HyperTough 1200 Lumen LED Portable Rechargeable Light Model 9977...

Key Organization! How do you do it?

I have keys to about 20 car washes. I bought a pack of keyrings and a pack of 1-1/2" valve marking brass disks and a letter punch kit to mark the disks. All those are on a carabiner in alphabetical order (I mark the owners' initials so if they get stolen the crook doesn't know what they go to).

    Cat 310 Oil Recommendation

Use whatever you put in the crankcase. DO NOT use 3 in 1 oil.

Key Organization! How do you do it?

I occasionally do some work for a guy who never shows up, he just leaves his keys with someone for me to pick up. I'm not exaggerating, there must be 75 keys in the bundle. I've counted 15 different Medeco keys, but there are only eight Medeco locks in the whole place. Most of these keys...

Key Organization! How do you do it?

DO NOT leave ANY keys at the car wash. I've said this a hundred times to people and they still do it. I just got a bunch of texts this morning about a break-in where someone had their keys in a flimsy lock box. Someone will eventually break in and get the keys, then you have to replace...

Key Organization! How do you do it?

I only have six keys for everything: one for changer/safes, three for vacs/vending/meter doors, one for the ER, one for trash.

    Help w/ buying new Vacs

I use the Domel too. I change the brushes every two years and the motors never go out. https://windtrax.com/storefrontCommerce/itemDetail.do?item-id=10102&order-quantity=1&item-index=0&customer-item=DOMEL%20492&order-uom=EA&warehouse-id=1&item-number=DOMEL%20492

    Cat 530 loses prime

The pump is/was losing prime because the air from the low pressure system is backing up from one of the bays through the pump, so the pump needs valve o-rings or a seal kit, and the inlet check valve is also bad. Ideally you don't even need a check valve on the outlet side.

High Pressure Soap Injection - Need a better way!!!

If you have an open tank filled with a valve that the pumps draw water from and the soap and wax tanks are also open, you don't need injectors. If you're having trouble getting soap and wax to the bays with this setup, you might just need to throttle the water valves a little to help the pump...

    Trying to buy another wash.

It uses vacuum motors to pull the coins into a central vault in the room. It's great if it was done right.

Dema float valve 437N keeps failing

This is the reason I won't use these or the Hydrominder equivalent. I've tried them both multiple times over the years and always had a similar problem. If you can switch to a regular float valve, I recommend the Walters/Watermaster. I use the 1" because it has a stainless steel seat insert...
