    extra time issue

It would be difficult to make videos because every car wash is different. It would be easier if someone having a problem would identify the timer they're working with because a lot of us regulars know off the top of our heads how to wire a Sensortron or a Slugbuster.

    Homemade/DIY IDX MX-8?

It's just relays, kind of looks like old Fragramatics relays with a resistor or varistor to help keep the relays from burning up from a high startup load or inductive current. I've done the same thing with relays, just a lot neater looking.

    IDX MX-8

If the green wire is one of the 24V "common" wires from a bay, it's wired correctly. In fact, if it works, it's wired correctly.

Prep brush, Hog Hair vs Another

IMO the best thing you can do to prevent scratches would be to remove the prep brushes. Next best thing might be to add instructions that the prep brush should only be used on the grill and windshield to loosen bugs - I've seen people scrub their whole car down, picking up dirt from the fender...

    Presoak question

Someone had the bright idea to add a second presoak selection to my SS before I got hold of it and labeled it "Bug Off." We don't really have a bug season. Then the guy was too cheap or lazy to change the chemicals back to regular presoak for most of the year, so most of the time the presoak...

    GPM in self serve

We're restricted by the city to stay at 3 GPM or less. I run 25055 tips at 1200 PSI which puts me just a hair over that, but the last inspector didn't say anything.

Is there a diplay in the bay and a timer inside in the cabinet above the pump? Can you post pictures of them?

    Self serve logics

    Why?
  16. MEP001

    Self serve logics

Timer receives coin pulses, enables output to switch which energizes relays and solenoids.

    Cryptopay swiper survey please!!!!

Soldering is pretty easy. You just need a low wattage soldering iron and some flux core solder. There are plenty of Youtube videos that show how to do it. The screws are unusual, I don't remember what the bit is, but this set has it...

    Opinions needed on price increase

I have to disagree in our case. Fewer options means less time for the customer to decide. With four options you're usually going to have at least two wash levels that are only separated by one function like trifoam polish or blow dry. With three options, only two will have dry, only two will...

    Banning Fleet vehicles

See if your city can set up a blanket criminal trespass warrant for your property. Right now I have to be on site and need to inform the person that they aren't welcome before the cops can issue a CTW, but with a blanket one I can do it from home.

    Short drop coin acceptors

FWIW I had a new Slugbuster III not read my tokens. Since I was trying to tune out tokens that weren't mine, I started with it all the way down and turned it up slowly until it would accept them, but it just kept accepting both good and bad at first. I had to adjust it all the way up and down...
