Check the Commons on the solenoid coils. An open Common might be the culprit.

    ARO Diaphragm Pump

That's an outrageously expensive price to pay for a G57. Better pricing is available at any of the on-line car wash vendors. Adding a drip leg to your air supply will assist in moisture reduction at the pump(s).

Suggestions on Fragrance, Spot Remover & Shampoo, from K-R

21 gallons is correct. Looks like slash007 wins with the juice from Sam's...great price, better dilution ratio, and excellent reviews.

Suggestions on Fragrance, Spot Remover & Shampoo, from K-R

I've been using Zep Premium Carpet shampoo. About $12/gallon at Home Depot. Add 5 to 6 oz of the Zep concentrate per gallon of water. Way cheaper than anything else I've used and it works great.

My foam brush sucks - please help me improve it.

Years ago, in an attempt to improve the “vivid” color of the foam, I experimented with “backwards” air and pump pressures. Here’s how it was done: Air-assist = 80psi Juice pump = 40psi The key to making this work is controlling the volume of air. You must restrict the air flow dramatically by...

Have you ever let a small project get out of control?

Three years ago, I rewired my bay lights to convert to CFLs. Each fixture was “Home Run” to the new lighting control panel. This year, I decided to convert to LED lighting. So, the conductors had to be spliced from the abandoned wall-mounted junction boxes to the new purlin-mounted junction...

Check Valves & Beyond - Ball Diaphragm Check Valves?

I've had very good service from Rego's stainless steel check valves. First cost is expensive but I've never had to replace one in 24 years. IIRC, I've had to replace one broken spring and maybe 6 or 7 poppet o-rings. KR sells them as their own brand here...

    Help choosing soft water system

That system uses 2 conductivity sensors per tank to measure hardness. It appears that Pentair (Fleck) only offers the sensor system with their ¾” and 1” 9100TS valve. Unfortunately, the 1” valve flow rating is 21 gpm continuous with a 15psi drop…peak is 28 gpm with 25psi drop. Specs here...

    angled SS wand tip

The wands frequently included a metal tab near the tip end to prevent the wand from flying out of the wand holder. The bend forced the wand up so the tab would catch the end of the holder. This was before trigger guns were introduced…and when meter boxes used toggle switches to select soap/wax.

    angled SS wand tip

Rather than upgrade, bent wands were commonly used by operators to give their customers the impression that their 2hp 800psi 2gpm duplex pumps were just as powerful as the higher pressure/volume triplex pumping stations being installed at the new competition.

    Help choosing soft water system

A busy 6 bay with 3000 gpd RO system will likely use 24-26 gpm. Problem with the Fleck 2900 valve is the 15 psi pressure drop when in regeneration. Suddenly, the normally operating Hydrominders no longer draw chemicals. A better system would use the Fleck 2900 with it's higher flow rate. A...

Advice on pumps, rebuilding pump stand

In 2014, I purchased an Arimitsu 516 kit to replace a cratered, 30-year-old Cat 530. The kit included the 22MM H-block bushing and key, and the mounting rails. The assembly bolted and plumbed to my pump stand without modification. I paid $774.00 which included $99.00 UPS Blue shipping...

    Pressure in bays???

No worries with 5hp. I get positive comments with 1350 PSI and #6 tips...except from the weak wristed. That includes ME when I have 8 bays to clean.

    Pressure in bays???

    Careful now…You don’t want to overload your motors! 1400 PSI with new #6 tip flows 3.5 GPM (1400 * 3.5) / 1460 = 3.4 horsepower required 1400 PSI with new #5 tip flows 3 GPM (1400 * 3) / 1,460 = 2.9 horsepower required
