    Pump issue????

Even I sometimes struggle with pumps and unloaders/regulators. After spending nearly 20 years as a distributor sales and service rep, with all that factory and hard knocks training, and mentoring from some of the best and experienced cohorts in the biz…even I have: Rebuilt a perfectly...

    Carolina Pride Recir Presoak Costs

2Biz... Back in "the day", Southern Pride, Carolina Pride, RBell & Assoc. used the same PS design: stainless steel tank, equipped with a 240v submersible heater, and a stainless steel circulating pump. It served three purposes...quick delivery of heated pre-soak delivery to the bays AND trough...

Hamilton Mini Bill to Bill Changer

Ditto...along with raising price-to-start and time-per-coin to 21st century levels. +$5K street price for a bill-to-bill changer seems quite steep for frustration reduction.?.

    Programmable Relay or PLC

My controllers "own" the entire system...during freezing temps, Foam Brush and Foam Gun solenoid outputs are automatically delayed 2 seconds. That saves quite a few gallons of sauce because everybody passes through my foam selections to get from Wash to Rinse. I believe the foam users never...

    Dollar coin update

The same way they arrive at 5.5% unemployment? I continue to do my duty by putting about about 3,500 $1 coins per month into general circulation. I can't speak to the remaining 239,955,000 reported by WSJ. :p

    Odd Streaking

Tired, fourteen year old, never been waxed, slightly oxidized paint. A good cleaning, polishing and waxing will likely resolve and resist future staining.

    Help with floor heat

Slash, Happy to hear of your solution! Wishing I'd thought to suggest that possibility. I suggest you have the gas pressure checked, along with flue gas temperature and combustion air…(have you ever felt light-headed while working in the engine room?) Sooting of the tube bundle indicates low...

motor contactor and thermal relay problems

IF it single phase, you'll have a "double breaker". Try switching the breakers off and back on again...you might have only engaged one side.

    Best place to buy polytube?

slash, They also have John Guest PE in 500' lengths for about .10/ft...5% discount for 2 or more coils. https://www.dultmeier.com/products/0.2006.4363/1688 You could also check with a pneumatics/hydraulics distributor in your city, http://www.bwrogers.com/ for example...but I'd bet you'll pay...

Trough heat. Big enough water heater?

Trough heat. Big enough water heater?

Temperature difference of the heater's outlet and inlet = deltaT Assuming, 120' of 3/4 PEX for the additional 4 bay trough...that adds less than 2 gallons of glycol to the system. And, since the trough is likely insulated, the temperature drop through the new section won't be as significant...

Trough heat. Big enough water heater?

Probably. But, what's the DeltaT on the current configuration?

How do avoid high pressure lines freezing overnight?

slash, It's a "belt and suspenders" kinda thing. If you're comfortable with air-only, then by all means just blow them out. But remember, water collects in the lowest point of the plumbing...so, wire the trigger guns open, lay them on the bay floor and blast away. The washer fluid/anti-freeze...

How do avoid high pressure lines freezing overnight?

Turn off the weep water Connect your compressor to the bay supply hoses...(you'll have to figure out the best way to do this) Give 'em a few blasts of air Turn off the 24v to the meter boxes Go home, put your feet up and have a cocktail. You won't have any business until you reverse the process...

weep questions, when to shut down, etc.

Most operators/manufacturers converted to Dixmor’s DX1000 Weepmiser… http://www.dixmor.com/products/dx1000.htm controller starting about 25 years ago. Designed and tested in the Denver, CO market, it’s universally used and probably the industry standard. Prior to the WM, most facilities were...

    Help with floor heat

Minimum flow rate through your boiler is 30 gpm. Did it look like at least 30 gpm? The only reason to pressurize the system is to overcome the slight static pressure created by the trough loop...and that's probably only about 3-4 psi. I just love the way the plumber stuffed everything into a...

Un-maned flex express tunnel - Wishful thinking?

http://3ginc.net/gallery.html Here's some photos of "unattended" tunnels in the Minneapolis market area, designed and installed by 3G Enterprises. The C-store cashier(s) can intervene if necessary but for the most part, customers load themselves. It was quite eye-opening to watch folks...
