    Polybraid for LP hose?

Formally, my brushes were stored vertically, with the head in a "grain bucket" on the bay floor. The idea was to get some freeze-assist from the floor heat. Didn't work. Then, I moved them to the horizontal position and still had issues with the hose ends. Tried the imbedded spiral wire poly...

    Flow of weep

You’re saying the weep flow increases, requiring frequent ball valve adjustments? My first thought is replace the ball valves with Globe valves or metering valves. The reason? Ball valves are very difficult to adjust for accurate flow control. 90% of the flow regulation occurs in the last...

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

This thread has gone a little off track. Maybe I’ll start another topic so we can share what we had, what we now have, why we changed, and why we wouldn’t do it again? So, Soonermajic, has your question been answered? Anyway, I stand by my first reply…the container cost is irrelevant. A $5...

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

You forgot to mention: SS = Stainless Steel or Secret Sauce (depending on what we’re talking about) WM = WeepMiser CV = Check Valve BFP = Back Flow Preventer PRV = Pressure Relief Valve PE = Polyethylene tubing CC = Credit Card $1c = Dollar Coin BC = Bill Changer GFV = Glass Front Vendor DSV =...

    Best Pre-Soaks out there?

Before changing pre-soak product (which your customers are "Hooked on") maybe you should determine your actual cost of usage. In the self serve bay, get a good stream flowing then capture one minute's worth in a container. Then, let the foam dissipate (it does foam, doesn't it?). Then measure...

Tankless Water Heater For Floor Heat

2Biz, You should post that pic on E-bay. Some "American Picker" type might offer you enough money for that 7UP sign to pay your natural gas bill for the next decade!

    Foaming Tire Brush Help

Loewem, Your brush handles were clogged? There's foaming material in the handles AND the foamer pods. You don't need both! Try operating the system with the brush handle removed from the hose. I'd suspect the handle material is being forced into a wad by the pressure and blocking the output...

    Low Water Pressure

Is this issue occurring on Hot Wash, Cold Rinse, or both? Are the pumps pressure fed, gravity fed, or both? Are the pumps noisier than usual?

    Rewarding Top Customers

Ron, I spent many hours on several business-related occasions with you. Please accept my apology for my conspiracy-theorist post. It just seemed funny to me that after the forum had been quiet for 4 days…and within 7 minutes, your post was responded to with a fairly descriptive low-down on a...

    Foaming Tire Brush Help

Appears that the liquid lines are 3/8". I wonder if the foamer is packed too tightly? Naw, probably not. But since it's feeding a brush, the foamer could also be eliminated.

Do You Disable Low Pressure Functions During Extreme Cold, But Stay Open?

2Biz, Your "Secret Sauce" system has been proven to work on your HP lines...as long as you are absolutely, positively sure that your SFR solenoids don't leak. When the SFR repressurization pump turns on for one bay, does water flow from any of the other idle guns? If the answer is "sometimes"...

Why are there check valves? I'd remove them and follow Earl's pressure setting suggestion.

Do You Disable Low Pressure Functions During Extreme Cold, But Stay Open?

Good decision...even though I think your sub 15* idle time is more likely 99%. Trying to stay open and operational at those temps is of little value. Consider the odd individual who spends $2 which results in you spending hours thawing and repairing. Not worth it in my book. Just close the...

    Pitts and Sub Zero Weather

Jeff, I believe Climate Change is upon us...just backwards from what's being touted! I don't believe you have anything to worry about but, how about "pumping" the main section into the drain section? You'll likely see little to no business over the next few polar vortex days so...start with...

I think it is. However, my "pits" are over 500 gallons each and the liquid level is about 3' below floor level.

    Water Softener Brine Tank

AhHa!!!…Along with plumbing and electricity, water softeners are another one of those “Great Mysteries of Life”. One gallon of water will be fully saturated with approximately one pound of salt. You want it fully saturated because the brine is diluted as it’s drawn into the softener. Weak...
