    Stationary Object Damage Considerations

I do not think your deductible will apply in this case. Your insurance company will go after the entire amount of the claim and not subject you to a deductible. Have you talked to your insurance agent? He might have some key insight on this.

    Stationary Object Damage Considerations

Turn it over to your insurance company. They will pay to get it fixed properly then go after the company that did the damage. I have been surprised a couple of times by local companies that have done similar damage at my washes. In both cases thousands of dollars of damage was done to my...

    Weep Saving Tips Help

With 10 SS bays I would shut most of them down and purge the lines with some RV antifreeze and run no weep in those bays. Then as demand dictated all you would have to do is turn the weep back on to each bay.

    New Car Wash Competition

As all have pointed out most dealers do have a on site car wash. This concept I am is a separate wash in a location away from the dealership. More in a high traffic area of retail sites. Time will tell if it pans out for them.

    New Car Wash Competition

I read a interesting article in Automotive News today. As automotive dealerships are being consolidated into larger groups with fewer owners it is making sense for them to build their own car washes. They are setting them up as stand alone profit centers to not only clean the cars they sell but...

    Dilling Harris Max Vend II

They are a rebranded vending machine. I used to have some and I think Kleenrite sells the same one with their name on it. As I recall you can get parts like circuit boards etc. from a company in Arkansas but I do not recall the name of the company off the top of my head. I am sure Randy will...

    SoftGloss Issue # 2

When something like this happens at my wash I try to watch the video or in person to see exactly when it stops or trips. Just from what you said I would suspect a solenoid is causing the breaker to trip.

Wash Gear compatability with other cc equipment

You can buy any coin box with coin and bill acceptors. You can mount a wash gear swipe reader on the face plate or add the wash gear box with CC swipe reader next to the new coin box. All that happens with any CC system is once the card is swiped and approved the CC system sends a signal to the...

    Simonize Correct dilution

The proper way to determine tip size is to buy a titration kit from Kleenrite. I think the Simoniz kit is about $15. I don't use tips. I run it through a adjustable flow meter. For my ryko units I flow mixed correct powder at 8 gph. This is based on using the titration kit to get recommended...

    Bucket washers

In my area I have started to see all the restaurants now posting signs saying " NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK". It seems they are having the same kind of luck we do with bucket washers. I have often related that a bucket washer is like a person who brings their own food to a restaurant. Seems like we...

    Self Serve Manual Doors....

I have had a few doors on my SS bays over the years. I have a few observations from my experience with them. Make sure you get a door rated for high winds. Many SS bays are wider than a normal opening and a door will have increased stress in wind. I have had 2 doors get blown right out of the...

250 watt wall pack conversion to LED...?

A picture of the Sams club light installed. Looks pretty good for a area light above a coin changer or similar. I would not use it to try an light up a parking lot by itself though.

250 watt wall pack conversion to LED...?

"It doesn't look any brighter than a 100 watt light bulb" It is in fact like looking at 4 100 watt light bulbs to the normal Human eye. Just using facts.

250 watt wall pack conversion to LED...?

JM I do not have any mounted yet. It has been below zero for the last week so I am waiting for it to warm up. MEP1 a 100 watt bulb has about 950 lumens while these fixtures are rated at 4000 lumens or more than 4X as much light as a 100 watt bulb.

New LED lights in the parking lot

I bought a few 80 watt Cree LED flood lights a couple of years ago. They worked great at first but now not a single one of them is working. For what was supposed to be a 100,000 hour light they have fallen well short. In general I have had poor luck with the higher wattage LED lights. Many of...

    Security Cameras advice

Do you have a HD monitor? If you do not have it hooked to a HD monitor or TV you might not be getting the true picture quality. I bought a 24 inch HD 1080P TV to use as my monitor for my Swann system. Sometimes you have to set the HD monitor up for 1080 as they default to 720.

paulLovesJamie, Check to make sure the system is set on full HD and not just 720 pixel. I think you have your choice. 720 pixel for more recording time but less resolution. Costco system has fewer cameras but higher resolution and double the price. I am still waiting for any kind of response...
